HEAD Penn’s Paola Longoria Kicks-Off New Season in Grand Fashion

San Luis Potosi, Mexico – August 26th, 2018

Paola Longoria, who has held a firm grip as the No. 1 ranked racquetball player in the World for the last seven years, began the 2018-19 season with her eyes set on an overall 10th Ladies Professional Racquetball Tour (LPRT) title. The new season kicked off in Mexico at an event named after Longoria, which is fitting for her near decade of racquetball dominance. At her namesake ‘Paola Longoria Experience’ tournament in her hometown of San Luis Potosi, Paola won both the Women’s Professional Singles and Doubles Divisions.

Paola’s road to the finals in the Women’s Professional Singles Division included winning the 400th game of her career. Longoria has now won 406 games and dropped just 30 games since 2003. Her overall game winning percentage is a staggering 93%! Paola also remained undefeated playing professional matches in front of her hometown fans in San Luis Potosi (20 matches won – 0 losses).

“There is no secret why Paola is so dominant as her work ethic is second to none. Paola not only works with me, Coach Fran Davis, on her game by drilling, practicing, playing and watching video, she also has a personal trainer, Efrain Lara, a sports psychologist, Magaly Zeron, a masseuse, Armando Baustista, a doctor, Victor Bolio, a sparring partner, Edson Martinez, and a nutritionist, Betty”. The team she put together works so well with one another in helping Paola to continually develop, grow and work on her game each and every day.
