Coaching Rocky Carson & Paola Longoria as well as some Amateurs and continues to spread her philosophy at the Fran Davis “Championship Racquetball” Camps presented by HEAD/Penn

Coach Fran Davis had a busy 2017/2018 season traveling the world coaching and training Paola Longoria and Rocky Carson, BOTH FINISHING #1 on the LPRT and IRT Professional Tours, but also coaching amateur racquetball players like yourselves at tournaments as well as her camps.

The Spring Camp was held May 4-6 in Syosset, NY with the local pro and NYC guru, Dean Baer. No matter whether Fran is working with Paola Longoria, Rocky Carson, her National Junior Champions or yourselves the 3 sides of the Racquetball Success Triangle is always the focal point, which is Conditioning/Strength Training, Mental Toughness Training and Skills/Technical/Strategy Training.

The Tournaments for Paola Longoria

She represented Mexico in Temuco, Chile at the Pan American Championships, March 24-31 and took home the Silver Medal in Singles and the Gold Medal in Doubles with Samantha Salas. It was exciting Fran was court side.

The following month Paola traveled to San Antonio, TX for a LPRT event, April 20-22, and took home 2nd Place in Singles and 1st Place in Doubles with Samantha Salas. Paola is still #1 on the LPRT in BOTH Singles/Doubles with one event remaining.

The Tournaments for Rocky Carson

There were 3 IRT events and Rocky finished in the semi-finals of Chicago, IL, March 15-18, the semi-finals of Cincinnati, OH, April 5-8, and then finished strong in Sarasota, FL by making it to the finals and finishing the #1 Professional Player for the 2017/2018. It has been 11 years since Rocky finished #1, which was in 2008…WAY TO GO ROCKY. HARD WORK and DETERMINATION were the keys to his success.

The Tournament for Fran’s Amateurs was the Washington State Championships held in the Seattle, WA area, April 6-8, and these were the following results:
Rocco Adam Vega Men’s Open Champion / Men’s Age 3rd Place
Jessica Chen Women’s Open 2nd Place
Ethan Janson Men’s Age Consolation Champion
Robert Fissette Men’s Age Consolation Finalist
Kevin Santee Men’s B 2nd Place
