HEAD Penn’s Rocky Carson Earns Team U.S.A. Spot at National Doubles Championships
Tempe, Arizona. – February 11th, 2018

Rocky Carson dominated the top divisions in the Arizona desert last weekend at the 2018 U.S.A. Racquetball National Doubles Championships. The event also offered singles play towards the qualification process to make Team U.S.A. The U.S. National Racquetball team will compete in the International Racquetball Federation’s (I.R.F.) World Championships this August in Haining City, China.

Rocky Carson (Ladera Ranch, California) won the Men’s Doubles Team U.S.A. Qualifying Division for the 9th time. This year he teamed up with Sudsy Monchik. I coached them to victory in a grueling 11-8 victory in the semi-finals and a two game victory in the finals after a close first game, 15-13. Rocky also rose to the occasion and won the Men’s Singles Team U.S.A. Qualifying Division after winning an 11-7 tie-breaker against Charlie Pratt. A sweet victory as he lost to Charlie in Portland, OR just a few months ago in December 2017.

With his wins in both the doubles and singles division, Rocky has earned on a spot on Team U.S.A. for the 16th time in his career.

All I can say is all the hard work we do together has really paid off…Rocky I am PROUD OF YOU.

A special thanks to his sparring partner back home, Don Richardson, for all the help and support he gives to me and Rocky.
