“Mitchell Turner attended back to back training camps in pursuit of becoming the BEST”

My “Adult Championship Racquetball Team” led by Rocky Carson and Paola Longoria were busy this month, but not with tournaments.

Rocky Carson teamed up with me and Jason Mannino to run our first ever Championship Racquetball Elite Training Camp with the theme, “How to Become a Champion.” It was designed to start to get my junior players ready for the Junior World Championships in November, as well as the 2016-2017 season. It also allowed Elite/Open players to come and train with the best 4 hours a day.

It was an amazing week as we mixed education/playing-drilling/training/game planning-strategizing/mental toughness with outside group activities. We went surfing with Rocky, had a workout with Rocky, played in a Reaching Your Dream Foundation Pro/Am Fundraiser Shootout, attended a BBQ at Rocky’s place and it all culminated with a little mini-tournament at the end of the week with Rocky playing everyone for extra points. Check out the pics, as they say, “A picture is worth a thousand word.”

Rocky is now finally going to enjoy the summer for a few weeks before he starts getting ready for the 2016-2017 season on the International Racquetball Tour (IRT). Rocky won three professional tournaments en-route to a No. 2 finish in the 2015-2016 season long rankings race. Rocky has not finished a professional season outside the Top 5 ranked players in the world in more than a decade.

Paola Longoria is currently down in Rio at the Olympic Games serving as a special

media correspondent for one of the top broadcast companies in her country, Clara Sports. Paola is on the morning show every day with another Co-host and does interviews and brings news back to her home country of Mexico. VERY VERY exciting.

Upon her return at the end of August she will start getting ready for the 2016-2017 season on the Ladies Professional Racquetball Tour (LPRT). Paola finished the No. 1 ranked professional player in the world for 2015-2016, and she has not lost a match in more than a year and holds 70 career professional titles.

My “Junior Championship Racquetball Team” is now training hard for the Fall tournament season as well as the Junior World Championships in San Luis Potosi, MX in November.

She is currently getting ready for the Junior World Championships in November as well as the LPRT pro stops.

As a matter of fact she just came back from the first LPRT pro stop in Atlanta, GA and she definitely made some noise. Jordan took first place with Alexandra Herrera in the
