My “Adult Championship Racquetball Team” led by Rocky Carson and Paola Longoria, both entered the second half of the season as the #1 Pro Players on their respective tours, the International Racquetball Tour (IRT) & the Ladies Professional Racquetball Tour (LPRT).

Rocky Carson came back strong in Long Island, NY to make the finals of the first event that started off the second half of the season.  It was sweet revenge as he beat Daniel Del Rosa in the semi-finals of NY after losing to him in the last tournament in NJ, but then lost to Kane Waselenchuk in the finals.

The very next weekend in Sioux Falls, SD at the 37th Annual Lewis Drug Pro-Am Rocky played in the 2 Professional Divisions…both the singles and doubles. Rocky won the Men’s Professional Doubles division teaming up with Alvaro Beltran to beat the team of Kane Waselenchuk and Ben Croft. Rocky was the top seed in the Men’s Professional Singles division and made it to the finals, but fell in the finals to Kane Waselenchuk.

Paola continues her domination of the LPRT and the International Tournaments.

Paola Longoria kicked off the second half of the 2014-2015 LPRT season in the same dominating manner in which she cruised through the first half. She was the winner of five of the six events she played in.

Paola did not drop a game in Cincinnati, OH en route to her 55th career tournament singles title on the LPRT. Paola defeated Maria Vargas in 3 straight games. Paola also won the women’s professional doubles division teaming up with Samantha Salas and defeating the #1 team of Maria Vargas and Rhonda Rasjich.

Two weeks later in Veracruz, MX, Paola took home 2 Gold Medals both in the Women’s Singles and Doubles competitions at the Campeonato Nacional Selective tournament, adding to her already 16 Gold Medals on the International scene. This tournament served as the selection event for the 2015 Mexican National Team, so Paola will represent her country at the Pan American Games in Toronto, Canada in July 2015. Paola is the current defending Single’s and Double’s Pan American Champion (Guadalajara, 2011).

Last weekend in Overland Park, KS Paola demolished the competition by not dropping a single game and only allowed 30 total points scored against her all weekend. The win against Rhonda in the finals in KS became Paola’s 56th career tournament title on the LPRT.

Paola continues her domination of the LPRT and the International Tournaments.

My “Junior Championship Racquetball Team” is fairing well at all their adult tournaments they are playing in the second half of the 2014-2015 season.
