My “Adult Championship Racquetball Team” led by Rocky Carson and Paola Longoria, both had a tournament(s) in December coming off of a strong November winning their pro stops.

Rocky Carson had a rough tournament at the IRT New Jersey Open as he lost to Daniel De Larossa in 4 games,

in the semi –finals. Rocky headed back home to California and will hit the courts hard and regroup for the start of the 2nd half of the 2014/2015 seasons.

Paola Longoria had a busy month for the Ladies Professional Racquetball Tour (LPRT). She won her event in Monterrey, MX in both pro singles and doubles and also received the highest honor any athlete could receive, “2014 Female Athlete of the Year for Mexico.”

Paola continues her domination of the LPRT by winning all three Grand Slam events thus far this season…the US Open and her two events in Mexico.

The tournament in Longoria’s hometown of Monterrey bared her name as the “Paola Longoria Invitational” and was put on by local

leaders to showcase the World’s Number 1 Player in front of her hometown fans. The total prize purse for the event topped $47,000 – almost triple that of most LPRT events.

Female Athlete of the Year 2014.

My “Junior Championship Racquetball Team” is fairing well at all their adult tournaments they are playing in this year.

Wayne Antone qualified and made the quarterfinals in singles in two IRT Satellite events, Beaverton, OR (lost to Dan Cramer 10-12 in the 5th game) and in Bremerton, WA lost to Jose Rojas in 3 close games. Wayne also played in and took 2nd in the Men’s Open Doubles at the Sunset AC in Beaverton, OR”.

Wayne also played in the Oregon Racquetball Association  (ORA) State Doubles Championships, and won the Mixed Open and took 3rd in Men’s Open.

Jordan Cooperrider continues to dominate the Women’s Open Division in Florida by winning the Sarasota Winter Open in singles and took 2nd in Mixed Open doubles.

Mitchell Turner now plays for Sprague HS Racquetball Team in Salem, OR, the #1 National HS Team in the country.

*Both Jordan and Mitchell spent a week of serious training with me in Seattle, WA over the Thanksgiving Holiday. We spent time on all aspects of the game and we made adjustments on technique where needed, drilled, played, did video analysis, went over routines, did conditioning and even had time for some R & R.
